Laura is always on the lookout for something new (and fun) to do. She was searching charity events on the net and came upon an annual softball game with soap star celebrities. She tried to convince me to go along. When she mentioned one of the actors expected to attend, she had me! Unfortunately for me, Don Jeffcoat (ex-Joey Buchanan, OLTL) could not make it this year. I was not disappointed, though, as I met a lot of friendly people there, and I had the opportunity to live vicariously through Laura's phone conversation at the picnic (more on that later)! Laura was hoping to meet Randolph Mantooth from "Emergency." As you can see from the photo below, we did. Randy Mantooth He was swamped with fans and with media (reporters and cameramen). He took the time to meet with each fan who wanted to meet him, sign autographs, take pictures. I can see why Laura is so fond of him.
